Campus Involvement
This was my second semester working in the Office of Student Engagement as a student leadership consultant! Working in this office for the past couple semesters has been a huge learning experience for me. I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful professional stepping stone as a part of a really positive office community.

Community Service
This semester I organized and attended Service Saturday volunteer projects with the Friends of Stewart Park, Kendal Device Advice, and the Ithaca ReUse Center. I had a blast putting together these events and heading to new places in the community. I definitely challenged myself by taking on volunteer events that I had never tried before, and leading other students onsite.

Student Leadership Institute
I attended an SLI called Managing Stress this semester. I really appreciate SLIs like this that prioritize health and wellness, because I think one of the most important aspects of leadership is a healthy internal compass, and I really believe in the value of self care. It was nice to be a part of workshop that reminded me of those values.
This semester I went to visiting fiction writer Kristina-Gorcheva Newberry's reading from her book The Orchard followed by Q&A. Through a class of mine I was able to introduce her at this event and learn a lot from her. I was amazed by her experiences and her insight into Russian history, culture, and current events. It was a really unique and special experience. I also attended Sexy Bingo this semester. This was a really fun experience because the atmosphere in this session is really open and sigma-free, and it was great to find a lot of health and welfare knowledge being given in an academic environment. |
